Do I have a condition if I can't understand math beyond the simplest basics?

I'm a homeschooler and I'm pretty good at every other subject except math. I love the literature aspect of school, but whenever it comes to math, what takes most people five minutes takes me forty five and I don't even understand the formula or problem well at all. I've asked my mom and brother (who's awesome at math) to explain things to me, but it hardly works.
It's scary how much I don't understand compared to everything else I do, which I catch onto the basics rather quickly. Is that a condition or something? :( What should I do if it is? Should I get a tutor?

i am not any type of on expert but here is my 2 cents. math is just that type of a subject that is very abstract and it is only taught in a certain way that some people under stand. everyone learns differently and there are many different ways of teaching but unfortunately only one or two ways are used to teach. you will have to seek out teachers or tutors who teach in non-conventional ways of teaching math. i was lucky to find some at WSU (Dr. Khan or is it Kahn). Maybe you need to be taught using real life examples (so ask for real life examples) or by pictures, graphs...... I had a real tuff time with math, but then i started "living" in the math tutoring center and getting help by many different tutor on same problems. then after calculus 1 then it all started to make sense. at the beginning it all seems pointless, you are not told what you are looking to achieve or get out of the class. it all seemed useless to me because of that.

don't worry too much, your brain is just wired differently, meaning you should be good at other things way better then most people.

As a top School Graduate who is aware of find out how to use a Stanley Tape measurer, and being self-expert by way of studying books, I honestly recognize what a Trillion is. Isaac Asimov as soon as defined this in phrases of 1 greenback expenses being stacked a number of the solution to the moon. A trillion seconds in the past individuals had been within the stone age residing in caves. A trillion is plenty. But it's dwarfed by way of the $four Quadrillion by-product marketplace. Bets on bets on bets, generally difficult to understand and unregulated. But insured of direction, via AIG which the American taxpayers are backing up. (Yikes!) Tax raises will under no circumstances resolve the crisis. Cutting spending is the reply. But that is no longer going to occur. So the method will fail. Fiscal restraint: you preserve utilizing that phrase, however I do not believe it method what you believe it method ;) Welcome to Rome, 525AD. EDIT: Have you spotted the Vatican Bank is in concern? What, corruption within the Catholic Church?! When did that ever occur earlier than? "Inconceivable!" ;)
