How to convince a teacher?

My drama teacher created a list of students who made it into advanced drama and I unfortunately was not on there. It sucks because I was actually highly considered for that class and I've been so involved in the drama department this year.

Someone told me that last year, two people who weren't on the list went to go talk to the teacher and they got in that way so I was planning to talk to the teacher on Monday. Any advice on what I should say and do that would change his mind and make one more room for me?

Please help!

Try your very best, work towards the best of your ability to prove your drama teacher that you are certainally good enough for her advance class.

Just don't beg your teacher or be rude. Try asking for advice on how to prepare for next year, and ask him what specifically he thinks you could work on. Explain how much the drama program means to you and that if you can't get in this year, that you are willing to step it up for next year. That way he will see that you are truly committed to the program and may consider you for the advanced class, or at least the following year, he will most likely put you in when you improve!

Please make your plea at an appropriate time, when the teacher will not have a class coming in, lessons on his mind etc.

Create a few notes this weekend on why you should be included, or at least put on a waiting list in case someone changes their schedule. Be polite, be charming, and happy acting.
