I taught Julius Caesar for years. It's not gruesome at all. It can get a little boring, especially the 4th act, but that's kind of true of many Shakespeare plays.
My biggest difficulties were getting through the 4th act and asking students to understand the totally foreign concept of dying on one's sword being an honorable death.

it incredibly is a strange declare in that it incredibly is factually faulty. there is significant conventional besides as secondary evidence this is recognised as honest and precise for Caesar, and extremely, little or no for Jesus. the properly suited version of this declare pertains to Alexander the great - we've not got any conventional evidence for the life of Alexander, all the writings approximately him are hearsay. The evidence we are in a position to hold together approximately Alexander's existence and events is great yet all secondary at maximum suitable. the only genuine evidence different than occasional mentions of Jesus are patently exaggerated money owed interior the bible. Given the fantastical claims interior the bible, it incredibly is a controversy of opinion whether any of it incredibly is depended on.

OK let's consider from another perspective, for instance another tyrant. Come in Adolph, Uncle Joe or Mr Franco, did we ever have anything to teach them?
(This is I imagine a construct upon tyranny, don't tell sir!)
