I am a child care provider and a preschool director at my church. I want to communicate with parents using newsletters, post bulletins, make cute posters, type out memos, policies, etc. I don't know what software program to use. Any suggestions?

I am a teacher and I use Microsoft Word for all of my class newsletters. They do not all have to be artsy... as long as you say what need to be said. Include some simple clip art or designs to your letter and you are golden!

I am a child care provider (nanny/babysitter) and am a full time university student-- one idea that came to my mind while reading your question was "Power Point". Professors use Power Point to make "presentations" for our lectures, but they post them on the internet for us to download and print. That could be a good idea for newsletters because you can put photos, different designs, etc. and make it available both online, and printed up to distribute.
Also, for basic newsletters, Microsoft Word is a good idea, but it is for text and not for cute designs, wall papers, or photos.
Another suggestion that I have is to get a family member or another person to help out with doing these bulletins, posters, etc. because two heads are better than one, and four hands are better than two :-)
Good luck to you, and it is refreshing to see an educator/child care provider be so enthusiastic and encouraged.
