One can speak without saying anything, or hear without listening ;-)

There's very little distinction between "speak" and "say", other than grammatical usage.

Hearing is simply perceiving a sound; listening implies making an effort to hear.

Speaking is deeper than saying. When someone is speaking there must me a listener; it requires conversation. Saying can be a piece of word about feeling or emotions that can be uttered nor delivered by shouting, crying; anyone can say anything without a listener.

Listening includes understanding ang sympathy. Hearing does not requires attention.
