Please design two separate telephone classes of 30 minutes each for one-to-one students.

One class must be for a General English student and the other must be for a Business English student. Both students have been studying with you for 3 months, so you already know them and their needs quite well.

The lesson supposes:
A specific theme or topic.
Before, during and after class activities.
Level: Upper Intermediate
Target Language: Not specified – you can decide the on target language for each class.
Please specify the profile of each student, their reasons for learning English and say why you have chosen the topics.
You aren’t required to submit the actual materials, but you must include a description of them, how you would use them and give examples of the language to be produced. Remember to clearly separate each section and include the time allocated to each activity and stage. If you wish, you can send your materials to your tutor by email.

It is fine to use internet resources but please make sure that you reference the sources! We are looking for your own ideas, particularly for the "During" section, not just internet articles and ready-made comprehension questions.

You should submit your plan below and please don't worry about neat tables as often these can get skewed online. However, please use clear headings etc.

A telephone class would be a class about teaching the language you use on the telephone. For beginner level students this may include polite requests such as 'May I speak to....' and even basic things like reading out telephone numbers. A business student may need to learn how to leave answer phone messages, introduce him/herself on the phone, learn polite ways to answer the phone, how to end difficult calls, etc.

I have no idea what a "telephone" class is, or how you would use materials in one. This sounds like a rip-off to me.
